Introducing the Incorrect Address Actionable IntelligenceTM (IAAI) Service
At TruView, we constantly strive to evolve, adapt, and refine technologies to produce more effective and cost-efficient investigations. With this as our goal, we are proud to introduce the next innovation for school residency verifications: TruView’s Incorrect Address Actionable Intelligence (IAAI).
IAAI is an original TruView tool that combines proprietary techniques and open source databases to identify potential indicators of an incorrect residential address, when matched to a subject. It informs school administrators to make smarter, more budget-effective decisions about their residency investigations.
The IAAI search establishes a baseline of confirmed public record information inconsistencies, eliminating guesswork and supporting evidence-based determinations for in-depth investigations. Using only the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) compliant, directory-level information provided by the district, the IAAI search flags inconsistencies between the parent/caretaker address given during registration and what current open-source public records indicate through a series of filters and algorithms. TruView’s Intelligence Unit then compiles the information and analyzes the results, providing the School District with easy-to-understand tiers to prioritize further review and action.
The derived actionable intelligence allows the school administrator to prioritize investigations based on individuals most likely to be living out of the district and make the most effect use of their budget. In the era of the school tax cap, and as cost of education out-of-district students is climbing, this is welcome news for many school districts.
While IAAI is a cost-efficient tool that can be utilized to supplement and/or confirm district information, as well as enhance a school’s internal investigative program, most see its benefits as part of TruView’s holistic—and transformative—approach to residency verifications.
For residency investigations where IAAI is not employed—that is, when we are directed to move forward directly with investigations based on school-provided information—TruView finds that approximately 50% of its investigations lead to an “Out of District” finding. TruView’s revolutionary Pre-Investigative Intelligence Collection (PIIC) program was a key driver in the 50% verification rate. While a 50% verification success rate far exceeds those of any other investigative firm, TruView found itself in the reactive position of waiting to receive a case after a problem arose, and we wanted to help School Districts to be more proactive in their residency investigations programs.
Applying the IAAI process to the school’s residency investigation program removes the human bias from data points and reveals key indicators of potential incorrect residential addresses, which are then validated by our Team. Using this actionable intelligence to steer the investigative program toward focused, likely outcomes, our residency Out of District verification rate jumps to an astronomical 80 – 90%. Schools can move forward with the highest degree of confidence in being to direct an investigative program with such a high potential for return on investment.
Further, while TruView’s intelligence-driven investigations are the most cost-effective residency investigations on Long Island, New York State, and New Jersey, the IAAI process costs mere dollars per address record, allowing a School District to effectively jumpstart its program in the most cost-efficient means possible.
