TruView’s “TRUverification” methodologies for employment verifications are setting the standard as the new industry best practice, demonstrating TruView’s commitment to real-world solutions that increase accuracy while working to alleviate the effect of industry pressures on Client budgets.
Most likely, your HR Department is well-acquainted with third-party providers for employment and education verifications. While in they can lessen the manual load on an HR department, these “legacy” providers add considerable cost to screening a candidate, without necessarily providing you the sought after information. All too often, legacy providers return a result of “unable to verify”—at the expense of your finite budget.
You’ve been at their mercy—until now. In response to these costly and hit-or-miss “standard” industry practices, TruView has developed the TRUverification approach. This multi-tiered process addresses the issues associated with the legacy verification system, while at the same time allowing for incremental cost escalation that can mitigate an overly large expenditure right out of the gate.
The TRUverification process begins with our trained verifications specialists conducting three attempts at verification using the “rule of three”: three attempts over three days at three different times over three different mediums (email, fax, phone, secondary email). TruView focuses on direct contact with the employer, and we can tailor the verification to any specific industry/regulatory requirements, as applicable.
If the three attempts do not net a result, TruView offers Clients an optional Automated Payroll Verification service that provides an additional buffer against third-party verification fees. Covering a large percentage of the U.S. workforce, this sophisticated technology searches millions of payroll records to confirm employment. It allows us to “bridge the gap” between that of our human verification specialist attempts and the expense of a third-party provider. While an additional cost, it is significantly less than standard third-party verification fees—even after being combined with the cost of the first step—and TruView only bills for the service if it returns a positive result.
If Automated Payroll Verification does not yield a result (or if the Client decides not to exercise the optional service), TRUverification moves to secondary source verification. Our analyst will make additional inquiries outside of the listed employment information. Based on Client preferences, we reach out to the applicant or to HR departments for additional contact information or for secondary sources of verification, such as a W-2, payroll stubs from the first and last dates of employment, and so forth.
Based on successful results, our Clients find the small increase in turnaround time over a “standard” verification is more than justified: It is rare that the TRUverification process does not yield a completed employment verification. TRUverification exhausts all available options before triggering the last-resort third-party verification (if you direct us to do so engage), thereby limiting your exposure to a fee that can be as high as $60 or more per employer.
TRUverification is an innovative, industry-leading best practice that helps TruView deliver to your expectations and your bottom line, helping you qualify the best candidate with the greatest cost-efficiency.
