On February 12 and 13, TruView President Nick Auletta addressed members of the Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors of Long Island (PHCCLI) and the Metropolitan Air Conditioning Contractors (MACC) of New York in hour-long presentations on myths in background screening and how to establish compliant, cost-effective employment background screening programs that work for contractors.

The PHCCLI was formed as an organization of professional licensed master plumbers heating contractors and cooling contractors operating on Long Island in 1939. Membership consists of established business leaders who recognize the advantages of membership in a professional organization that not only represents the PHCC industry but are committed to protect the health and safety of the general public through the establishment of, and adherence to, detailed codes. The National Association of PHCC is one of the oldest trade associations in the United States.

The MACC of New York is a thriving trade association that educates, assists, and enables its members to acquire, serve, and satisfy their customers. MACC promotes the highest business ethics and sound business practices; seeks to influence public policy to improve the business climate; and enhances the image of contractor professionalism to government, industry and the public.

In a one-two punch, Auletta’s presentation complemented that of Barbara DeMatteo, Director of HR Consulting for Portnoy, Messinger, Pearl & Associates, Inc., who delivered an information-packed seminar on how to ask the tough interview questions and hire the best candidate for the job.

TruView offers customized pre-employment screening and employment monitoring programs for contractors who want to differentiate themselves from their competitors with best-practices employment standards that bring client peace of mind. Contact us for details!
