Stand-To Quote of Note

History shows that the most likely time for an enemy attack was early in the morning. Therefore, an hour before dawn soldiers were given the order to, “Stand-To” in order to prepare for what lies ahead. In this way, TruView has adapted the Stand-To by providing progress, motivation, and guidance during a company-wide meeting each Monday in order to prepare the staff for the week ahead.

For the Week of March 8, 2021:

President Nick Auletta offered a quote from Admiral William “Bull” Halsey, Jr., a renowned fleet admiral of the United States Navy during World War II, which reads:

“Grab a thistle timidly and it pricks you. Grasp it boldly and it’s spine crumbles.”

Nick used this descriptive quote to underscore his message: “Indecision is, in and of itself, a decision. Be bold in your decisions. Stand up for your convictions, take pride in your capabilities, and whenever necessary proceed with decisive action.”
